Like other Credit Unions, KEMBA Financial Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative, owned and operated by its membership. Unlike a bank or savings institution, credit unions are founded on democratic, cooperative principles. Members have equal rights to vote and to participate in their credit union’s leadership. And as a member-owned organization, credit unions return their profits to their member-owners.

The National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund (NCUSIF) is the Federal insurance fund for credit unions. It is the strongest and most stable federal insurance fund in the country today. |
Am I Eligible?
To join the credit union you must meet at least one of the following criteria:
1. Live, work, worship, or attend school in:
- Franklin County in Ohio
- Delaware County in Ohio
- Logan County in Ohio
- Madison County in Ohio
- Sylvania Township in Ohio (near Toledo)
2. Need to be employed by one of our participating companies. See our Select Employee Group List. click here to see the list
3. You can also join KEMBA if:
- you have a family member (i.e. spouse, parent, grandparent, sister, brother, child, etc.) who is a member of KEMBA Financial
- a member of Angie’s List Association, the Ohio Nurses Association, or the Columbus Board of Realtors.

Minimum Deposit
After completing the membership application, the next step to open a share savings account is a minimum deposit of $5.00. All members of KEMBA Financial Credit Union are required to keep $5.00 in their share savings account to maintain their membership. Once the account has been opened, you can start taking advantage of all the benefits KEMBA has to offer. |
